Yes! ZP Architects & Engineers is a fully licensed and insured design firm. They are registered in Colorado, South Dakota & Wyoming.
How long does a design take?
This question will obviously change depending on the magnitude of the job, but in general you should plan on at least a couple of months for a complete new design. Renovations, structural changes and other various portions of design can often be completed much quicker than this. You must also consider the time that a city or local jurisdiction will take to approve a design which will vary with every jurisdiction.
Do I need an architect?
Yes, you need an architect. Not only is it illegal in most places to build without approved drawings and a permit, but most contractors will not even give you a price until you have approved drawings that are stamped by a registered architect. You must also understand that it is very unsafe to make structural changes to a building without having a registered structural engineer look at existing conditions.
Can I help in the Design phase?
Yes! Even though you have somebody designing your building for you, ZP understands that you want it to look a certain way. ZP want to know that you are 100% happy with your design before you start building!
